Kendrick Lamar Names His Favorite Albums Of 2012

                                            Kendrick Lamar
picks a pair of albums that he rocked throughout the year.
Kendrick Lamar previously named Nas' Life is Good as his favorite album of the year. Now, he's elaborating on his choice and adding another LP to the mix.
During an interview with Google Play, K. Dot explained that his top LPs of 2012 - aside from his own, good kid, m.A.A.d city - were Life is Good and Frank Ocean's Channel Orange. Beginning with Esco, the West Coast spitter explained that he appreciated his storytelling and ability to keep himself on top after so many years.
"One of my favorite albums of 2012 will be Nas Life is Good. The reason why I chose this album was simply because Nas kept his longevity, kept his creativity, kept his storytelling at an all-time high," he said. "Given the fact that he's been in the game so many years, still being able to come fresh and come new to where it's among the elite artists in the game."
He turned his attention to the Odd Future crooner, similarly praising Channel Orange for its storytelling and how well it was threaded together.
"Another one of my favorite albums of 2012 would have to be Frank Ocean's album, reason given is because you don't hear too many male vocalists or vocalists, period, giving storytelling inside of their music. I think it's pretty dope to bring that part of the game back. As far as singing and rhythm and blues, it's a great album, great concepts, a body of work. That's what it's about in the game. I can respect that."

Meek Mill Disses Cassidy On "Repo"

Meek Mill responds to Cassidy's diss track "Me, Myself & iPhone."

The war between Meek Mill and Cassidy wages on.

After trading words on Twitter and Cass releasing the diss track "Me, Myself & iPhone," the Maybach Music Group rapper has responded to the cut, dropping a scathing joint titled "Repo."

On the song, Meek puts Larceny straight in the crosshairs, addressing his challenge to battle for money. "You talkin' 'bout a battle rap? How you gon' handle that? / Hundred grand pussy nigga? You ain't got the time for that / You ain't got the stacks for that / You know what we laughin' at," he raps, claiming Cass's car got repossessed. "Whatchu made this year, whatchu worth nigga? I dropped Dreams & Nightmares, I made church, nigga / I did 'I'ma Boss' young'n set the summer off / Now these old niggas mad at me 'cause they fallin' off."
